Quick Guide to Constellar

Disclaimer, based on personal experience so your individual results may vary (but probably won't)

First things first. A LOT of the Constellars suck.

The ONLY ones that are "good" (at least to my standard) are...

Sheratan (because it searches)

Pollux (double summon on a body, that can be searched with ROTA AND Sheratan)

Kaus, he alters EVERYONES levels (AND searchable by Fire Formation -Tenki)

Algeidi (the worst of the "good" ones, but it still summons a LV 4)

Sombre (just does stupid shit, in a "good" way)

EXTRA DECK Constellar

Pleiades does NOT care who card it is, or which type of card. As long as it's on the field, he bounces it. This can be from your opponents set monster to your own Star Chart (when you want to upgrade into M7 AND draw a card off it). It's the go-to Xyz in Constellar and it wouldn't be possible without Kaus.

Again... there are other Constellar monster you CAN run, but I advise against it because they cause more trouble than they're worth.

Praesepe has a built in Honest-like effect. But you only run 1, because sometimes you just need to run over shit. It even boosts itself to 3400. That's pretty good.

Omega has lost a bit of its usefulness, but you STILL want to run at least one because people STILL run stuff like Dark Hole. It's a beast-warrior, which gets boosted by Tenki, and protects ALL Constellars, not just himself (even though, you're probably gonna bring him out, by himself)

You only play Hyades if you're playing Sheratan AND Star Chart. Just because it's LV 3 AND can be upgraded into M7.

You run 2 M7 off the muscle just because your other Constellar Xyz can upgrade into this. 3 is too many (believe me, I've tried). When you upgrade, you cannot activate its effects that turn. Usually you "upgrade" when your other Constellar Xyz runs out of materials or after you use their effect. With Star Chart, you can draw 2 cards.

1. Play Star Chart

2. Xyz into Pleiades

3. Draw from Star Chart (optional effect)

4. Pleiades eff (bounce star chart)

5. Re-play Star Chart

6. "Upgrade" into M7

7. Draw from Star Chart

NON Constellar Xyz

Tiras, Keeper of Genesis kills two birds with 1 stone. It's 2600 so it can run over shit like Shi En. Then blow a card up. Even though its effects are only active while it has materials, and you lose a material that end phase you summoned it; it's good for killing a monster in battle AND popping a card. Only 1 though, because it sucks to have to rely on him, but he's nice to have.

Volcasaurus is the closet thing we have to Ring of Destruction. And you can STILL attack when you blow a monster up (just not directly). Sometimes you rather not attack and get the burn damage in.

Trust me, blowing a Blue-Eyes White Dragon with this is very satisfying...

This SHOULD be obvious. The vast majority of the Extra Deck is Rank 5s and it wouldn't be complete without this.

This is the "3rd" M7, but not really, because sometimes, piercing damage matters.

Notes (that shit you look forward to)

Two types of Constellar builds.

Ones with Star Chart, and ones without it.

1. Ones with Star Chart. OBVIOUSLY use Star Chart.

Because you use Star Chart, you have to run potentially powerful (yet situational) cards that may or may not work (one being Start Chart).

But the payoff is that you will generate more cards then without it AND you don't have to rely on your opponent Special Summoning (if you run Maxx "C") to draw cards.

2. Ones without Start Chart. OBVIOUSLY don't use Star Chart.

You have more room for "tech" (replacing those Star Charts).

So your deck is more versatile, but not as "fast'.

Most Constellar Builds run 1 Brotherhood of the Fire Fist - Bear.

Because...

It's searchable by Tenki (as well as Kaus)

It does something with the "stray" Tenki that will more than likely be lying around.

Even if you only draw Bear. you deal damage, set Tenki, then search for kaus.

You're thinning your deck by 2 cards just off doing your opponent damage.

If anything, it's for the deck thinning & the occasional monster removal.

You DON'T have to run Bear, but it's a good idea to.

Basic Constellar SHELL

3 Pollux (a double summon that's Veiler resistant)
3 Kaus (the only reason competitive Constellars can make Rank 5's)
3 Sombre (it gives you some LONGevity)
2 Gredi (you don't like this getting veiler'd or Maxx C in response)
1 Bear (aformentioned reasons)
1 Honest (um... do I have to put it in subtitles of somethin?)

3 Tenki (if you're running Bear, 2 if not)
3 MST (you don't like Tenki getting MST'd)
1 ROTA (Pollux says HI)
1 Heavy Storm
1 Monster Reborn
2 Pot of Duality (only if you run Sheratan)

Traps are up to you, but if you're running Start Chart, run 2 Xyz Reborn. You want to draw it, but not in your opening hand.

I would advise some number of Compulsory Evacuation Device AND Fiendish Chain.

Fiendish Chain can be bounced with Pleiades and Compulse is great against E-Drags.

  1. Starliege Paladynamo is a good addition to the extra deck right? I seem to make it a lot when they veiler Kaus

    1. Yeah, it goes without saying that you should run 1.

  2. Besides Bear what Fire Fist card is good to run? I was thinking about one Gorilla.

  3. It's not a bad deck by any means, but it can't keep the pace up with E-Dragons and Prophecys right now. Then again, almost all decks can't

    1. Definetly, I run two aswell. Beated E-dragons 2-0 with my build, but lost to them 2-1 also, its all about luck against them though.
