A Quick Guide to: Bujin (War God): Judgment of the Light

NOTE: This guide only covers the cards for Bujin in Judgment of the Light.

Shadow Specters will be covered in another post (probably linked here)

This is one of the "fair" decks to come out in recent times, but because of Prophecy/Dragon Ruler being the decks they are, they mostly have to be a "stun" deck.

Which was not the original purpose.

Bujin - Yamato

Once per turn, during your End Phase: You can add 1 "Bujinmonster from your Deck to your hand, then send 1 card from your hand to the Graveyard. You can only control 1 face-up "Bujin - Yamato".

This is ROTA OR Foolish Burial. You ADD then send a card (doesn't have to be a Bujin monster)

The Bujin, non Beast Warrior monsters either have to be in hand (Habakiri), of Graveyard (Hetsuka) to be relevant. As long as Yamato stays on the field during the end phase, you get to do stuff.

Obviously, you keep Habakiri in hand, while pitching Hetsuka or any other Bujin that works in the GY.

Seems like common sense.

Bujin Relic - Hetsuka

During either player's turn, when a "Bujinmonster(s) you control is targeted by a card effect: You can banish this card from your Graveyardnegate that effect.

It's a free negate that protects any of your "Bujin" monsters (not just Yamato).

You run 3 just because... it's freaking "free" negation.

YET ANOTHER FUCKIN "HONEST" VARIANT
Bujin Relic - Habakiri

During damage calculation, when a "BujinBeast-Warrior-Type monsteryou control battles an opponent's monster: You can send this card from your hand to the Graveyard; the ATK of your battling monster becomes double its original ATK during damage calculation only.

Honest is limited, and Kalut JUST got unlimited. AND THEN, they make ANOTHER "Honest" variant. Given, it can only protect Beast-Warrior Bujin (Yamato), but it's a fuckin honest (more like Kalut), that doesn't care if it's battling a monster.

Even though you only have Yamato (and the Xyz) to strap this condom on, it's still a condom.

A sword on it's face? so much of eating pussy....
Bujin Relic - Murakumo

If you control a "BujinBeast-Warrior-Type monster: You can banish this card from your Graveyard, then target 1 face-up card your opponent controls; destroy that target. You can only use the effect of "Bujin Relic - Murakumo" once per turn.

It's free removal, that requires you to have either Yamato or the Xyz on the field.

Fortunately, the Xyz only requires 2 "Bujin" monsters.

FUCK ASURA PRIEST
Bujin Emperor - Susanoo

This card can attack every monster your opponent controls once. Once per turn: You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card; add 1 "Bujin" monster from your Deck to your hand OR send 1 "Bujin" monster from your Deck to the Graveyard. You can only control 1 face-up "Bujin Emperor - Susanoo".

Look! it's a "good" Asura Priest...

AND

it's ROTA AND Foolish Burial in ONE card!

Add a Yamato, if you've yet to get one

OR

Strap up by adding Habakiri. OR get your destruction on by sending Murakumo.

You can only control 1, because that would be complete bullshit if you could make 2 and get 2 free searches (or dumps, not talking number 2)

Where the FUCK is my SWORD?
Rise of the Bujin

If your opponent controls a monster and you control no monsters: Target 1 "Bujin" monster in your Graveyard and 1 of your banished "Bujin" monsters; Special Summon both those targets. They cannot be used as Xyz Materials for an Xyz Summon, except for the Xyz Summon of aBeastBeast-Warrior, or Winged Beast-Type monster.

Cyber Dragon requirement, which means your Yamato would have died (which is ironic because the deck requires you to protect it)
Hetsuka/Murakumo banish themselves so you just bring 1 of them back, along with your Yamato/Habakiri in the GY. THEN you get to Xyz from a very limited variety of Beast, Beast-Warrior or Winged Beast Xyz monsters.

This indirectly puts back and of those banished fuckers back in the GY, to be reused.

The Bujin Armament Apparition

Activate 1 of these effects.

● Target 1 "Bujinmonster in your Graveyardadd that target to your hand.
● Target 1 of your banished "Bujin" monsters; return that target to the Graveyard.

Sometimes, you just need a shitty Trap Card to retrieve a Habakiri (or Yamato) OR return a banished Hetsuka/Murakumo back to the GY.

I think it blows (as in blowjob) but 1 shouldn't be too bad.

Now that part y'all like (or I'm just bring really cocky)

Regardless...

You use...

AND...

Yamato is fine but when you're playing a deck that isn't Fire Fist (like this one) you need something else to search for.

If you choose to run 3 Tenki (which you probably are), you don't want to run out of targets.

Or better yet, you don't want to have stray Tenki on the field doing nothing.

Thats where Bear comes into play. You won't always get to search the moment you activate Tenki, but once you do, there is no other way to get it off the field for any benefit.

Except Bear...

NOTHIN BUT THE TRUF!
Honest... Was there ever a question?

All these fuckers are LIGHT...

This is the primary reason Bujin are somewhat decent.

The Bujin Relics either activate in hand OR graveyard (both of which do not cause Emptiness's destruction).

Because of this, Emptiness should stay on the field longer than in any other deck.

And you know Dragon Rulers are apparently "broken", so this basically bricks them.

Yes, it's really that simple.

The Bujin are a fine bunch of monsters (albeit very few). I personally like "fair" decks. But this is coming from a guy that likes Candy People (Madolches)

If you want to build Bujin, get Vanity's Emptiness ASAP (Rocky).

  1. Bujin Emperor Susanoo kinda looks like Zero from the Megaman series.
