Quick Guide to Vampire (Shadow Specters)

Vampire Sorcerer

If this card is sent to the Graveyard by an opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect): You can add 1 DARK "Vampiremonster or 1 "Vampire" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. During your Main Phase: You can banish this card from your Graveyard; you can Normal Summon 1 DARK "Vampire" monster this turn without Tributing.

You run 3.. because it's your searcher AND (there is a AND) because it lets you summon Shadow Vampire without tributing. You NEVER want to tribute if you can help it... Unless you're tributing Goblin Zombie.

Shadow Vampire

When this card is Normal Summoned: You can Special Summon 1 DARK"Vampiremonster from your hand or Deck, except "Shadow Vampire". If you do, monsters you control other than that monster cannot declare anattack this turn. This card cannot be used as an Xyz Material, except for the Xyz Summon of a DARK monster.

Searchable by Goblin Zombie. Basically... And it's the 1 card Xyz (if you banish Sorcerer) for a very FEW Xyz (Shark Fortress, Bram, Adreus). Doesn't have to only summon LV5, just any "Vampire" monster other than itself.

Vampire Grace

When a Level 5 or higher Zombie-Type monster(s) is Special Summoned to your side of the field by the effect of a Zombie-Type monster, while this card is in your Graveyard: You can pay 2000 Life Points; Special Summon this card from your Graveyard. You can only use this effect of "Vampire Grace" once per turn. Once per turn: You can declare 1 card type (Monster, Spell, or Trap); your opponent sends 1 card of that type from their Deck to the Graveyard.

The had to FUCK this card up by making it LV6.

You can add another (or Vampire's Curse) to make Rank 6's summon-able, but not advised. 1 copy because it's another target for shadow AND her secondary effect triggers the Field Spell.

Vampire Bram the Edelritter

You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 monster in your opponent's GraveyardSpecial Summon that target to your side of the field. You can only use this effect of "Vampire Bram the Edelritter" once per turn. If you do, monsters you control other than that monster cannot attack this turn. If this card on the field is destroyed by an opponent's card (either by battle or card effect) and sent to the GraveyardSpecial Summon this card from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position during next turn's Standby Phase.

FYI. If you use Shadow Vampire effect THEN Brams effect, you will not be able to attack with ANY of your monsters.

Shadow Vampire: If you do, monsters you control other than that monster cannot declare an attack this turn

The monster that was summoned would be the only monster able to attack. But this effect lingers throughout the entire turn.

So, combine Shadow Vampire with Bram

Bram: If you do, monsters you control other than that monster cannot attack this turn

If you didn't use Shadow Vampire's effect, the monster summoned by Bram would only be able to attack, but since you're more than likely using Shadow Vampire to summon it, you're not going to be able to attack.

I learned this the hard way.

Vampire Empire

Zombie-Type monsters gain 500 ATK during damage calculation only. Once per turn, when a card(s) is sent from your opponent's Deck to the Graveyard: Send 1 DARK "Vampire" monster from your hand or Deck to the Graveyard, then target 1 card on the fielddestroy it.

This is part destruction, Part ATK Booster, Part Foolish Burial all in one card. The destruction MUST happen (yes, you have to blow up your own shit if your opponent doesn't have anything).

BUT, it will trigger when your opponent wouldn't suspect.

A card has to hit the graveyard from the deck, NO matter how it got there. It can be from your own Vampire Lord/Vampire Grace to their OWN Foolish Burial. It's fuckin' retarded.

Fortunately, you don't need the field card to "win" the game.

Vampire Shift/Sorcerer searches it, and besides trumping shit in battle, you usually activate it when you're intent on destroying some shit.

NO, there is no point in playing Terraforming to get the field spell. It's not important.

Vampire Shift

If your Field Spell Card Zone is unused and the only face-up monsters you control are Zombie-TypeActivate 1 "Vampire Empire" from your Deck, then you can Special Summon 1 DARK "Vampire" monster from your Graveyard in face-up Defense Position. You can only activate 1 "Vampire Shift" per turn.

This is good as a one-of, but it's not dead if you don't have a Vampire in GY.

it's basically Terraforming in Trap form that you don't care about, If your opponent actually stops this card, they suck.

It's cute to get back Sorcerer in response to monster removal (Torrential/Dark Hole),

*Sorcerer is NOT Once per Turn*

Outside Shadow Specters...

Searches Vampire Grace, Zombie Master, Mezuki, Shadow Vampire.

Activates Vampire Empire if you deal damage with it.

You should know why but ...

Lets you make rank 4 Xyz
Gets rid of useless zombies (they BELONG in the Graveyard)
A bullshit beatsick, desperate times.

Seriously?

You have to run this because Shadow can't special summon itself.

I think 1 is fine, Any number more is useless, since they're a lot of card effects and who actually kills shit by battle anymore.

But for those very few instances, there's Pyramid Turtle. Oh, and it can summon ALL your Zombies.

Quick Guide to Ghostrick (Shadow Specters)

Konami has yet again made a cute ass archetype (and knowing me, I MUST HAZ)

You harass your opponent by putting their monsters face-down and attacking directly (Ghostrick House).

With that being said... If you're a master in self pleasuring yourself, this shouldn't be difficult.

NOTE: ALL Ghostrick (besides Alucard), cannot be normal summoned UNLESS you control another Ghostrick already AND put themselves face-down.

Ghostrick Jiangshi

Cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a "Ghostrickmonster(but can be Normal Set). Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card is flipped face-up: You can add 1 "Ghostrick" monster from your Deck to your hand whose Level is less than or equal to the number of "Ghostrick" monsters you control. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Jiangshi" once per turn.

You run 3, by default. It's a card that searches.

Better yet, when it's flipped face-up (not just flip summoned)

It's not the best first turn play, you do still get so search Specter and once this is destroyed, you get a "+1".

Ghostrick Stein

Cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a "Ghostrickmonster(but can be Normal Set). Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When this card inflicts battle damage to your opponent: You can add 1 "Ghostrick" Spell/Trap Card from your Deck to your hand. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Stein" once per turn.

Has to deal battle damage. Can't be normal summoned unless you have a "Ghostrick"?

What is this fuckery?

It searches for House, Out AND Panic. AND it's a LV3 (Alucard).

You will probably run out of cards to search, but when you do, just use it for Xyz material.

Run 3, because it searched for House, Out AND Panic...

Ghostrick Specter

Cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a "Ghostrickmonster(but can be Normal Set). Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When a "Ghostrick" monster is destroyed by your opponent's card (either by battle or by card effect) and sent to the Graveyard: You can Special Summon this card from your hand in face-down Defense Position, and if you do, draw 1 card.

When any of your fuckers die, you summon this, and draw 1.

Not the best effect, but you draw a card.

Does very little outside of enabling Ghostrick House, but at the very least, you get a card for your trouble.

Ghostrick Lantern

Cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a "Ghostrickmonster (but can be Normal Set). Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. When an opponent's monster attacks directly or targets a "Ghostrick" monster you control for an attack: Negate the attack, and if you do, Special Summon this card from your hand in face-down Defense Position.

It negates an attack. Either a direct attack OR a Ghostrick (now why would there be a face-up Ghostrick on the field?)

2 because it's obvious. or 3 if you're feeling frisky.

Witch of the Ghostrick

Cannot be Normal Summoned unless you control a "Ghostrickmonster (but can be Normal Set). Once per turn: You can change this card to face-down Defense Position. Once per turn: You can target 1 face-up monster your opponent controls; change it to face-down Defense Position.

This mostly enables Ghostrick House (allowing you to attack your opponent directly - Hence... Ghostrick Stein). Combines with Swords of Concealing Light, This bitch can get very annoying.

2 because she does nothing with no face-up monsters.

Ghostrick Alucard

Level 3 monsters
Your opponent cannot target other "Ghostrick" monsters or face-down monsters for attacks. You can detach 1 Xyz Material from this card, then target 1 Set card your opponent controlsdestroy that target. You can only use this effect of "Ghostrick Alucard" once per turn. If this card is sent to the Graveyard: You can target 1 other "Ghostrick" card in your Graveyard; add that target to your hand.

Could've been a better boss monster, but it's not bad.

He CAN blow up set cards (which will probably be a monster). AND he protects everyone ELSE from attacks. This is where Lantern has more use.

A generic Rank 3 that gets you back ANY other Ghostrick card when it dies (BY ANYTHING?)

2 is typical, but 3 just because you have more than enough room in the Extra Deck

Ghostrick House

Face-down monsters cannot be targeted for attacks. If the only monsters a player controls are face-down, their opponent's monsters can attack directly. Halve any battle damage from monsters, except "Ghostrick" monsters, or effect damage either player takes.

Translation: If you control all face-down monsters. you opponent has to attack you directly. BUT any battle damage done by monsters OTHER THAN GHOSTRICK are halved.

Card's awesome.

Makes it harder for your opponent to kill you. AND since you're harassing them already by putting their monsters face-down, you will rarely have to actually do battle with a monster.

Ghostrick Out

Reveal 1 "Ghostrickmonster in your hand; for the rest of this turn, "Ghostrick" cards and face-down Defense Position monsters you control cannot be targeted or destroyed by card effects.

This MF'er here is Forbidden Dress for ALL Ghostrick cards (and face-down monsters you control).

Stein searches it. You ONLY have to reveal a Ghostrick (like that's hard?).

Best card in the Archetype, hands down... for only 1 reason. It protects House, which protects your monsters from being attacked.

Ghostrick Panic

Target any number of face-down Defense Position monsters you control; change them to face-up Defense Position, then change face-up monsters your opponent controls to face-down Defense Position, up to the number of "Ghostrick" monsters flipped face-up by this effect.

It targets your monsters, not your opponents.

THAT DOES MATTER.

This card is... surprisingly, not shitty.

I tried without it. But it was bad. So you're better off running this than without.

It will work on non Ghostrick monsters, but will only Book of Moon their monster up to the number of Ghostrick you flipped.

Doesn't have to be any Ghostrick, it's just a added bonus if it is.

2 because you want to draw this card just not all the FUCKIN time!

Now that the obvious is out the way. Time for... MORE OBVIOUS SHIT!

1 card Xyz summon (Alucard is generic)

Obvious numbers...

Put your opponents monster face-down (not just by this effect). And freeze them for 2 turns. You run 3 because it's only 2 turns AND it's a VERY IMPORTANT part of the strategy.

It's a FUNCTIONAL Torrential Tribute that doesn't destroy your set monsters. This acts as a reset button.

2 because 3 is terrible.

Witch, Book of Moon, Panic. REALLY?

I know y'all aren't THAT stupid...

You COULD try this for obvious reasons. Just hope you go first like ALL THE TIME.

Stein, Lantern AND Specter are targets. Not really sure how important this is but it seems fine since you will run out of stuff and fortunately, these 3 happen to be pretty important to the deck.

Basic Shell (Harassment, Sexually)

3 Specter
3 Stein
3 Jiangshi
2 Witch
2-3 Lantern (3 with if you choose Recurring Nightmare)
2 Tour Guide

3 House
3 Concealing Light
2 Nobleman of Crossout
2 Duality

3 Out
2 Needle Ceiling
2 Panic
